Bringing Mothers and Daughters together to begin conversations about puberty and beyond.


Recommended for mothers and their daughters 9 to12 years of age. The goal of this workshop is to help make it easier to talk about puberty.

The student will learn about the physical and emotional changes in puberty, reproduction, and decision making.


Mothers will feel more comfortable knowing what to say, when to say it, and how to respond to difficult questions about these topics.


WHAT WILL WE TALK ABOUT?


  • We will begin with talking about talking about it- This is a guided discussion with parent and child to help understand and validate why sometimes it may be difficult to talk about puberty.
  • Puberty Presentation-Discussion about the physical and emotional changes of puberty.
  • Difficult questions-Helping parents answer   difficult questions. 
  • Decision Making Discussion-We will discuss refusal skills, when to use them and how to use them.
